About the Project

aslanogullari.com.tr is a corporate web project designed for Aslanoğulları Doğanay, a company active in the metal and building materials sector. Built on WordPress, the site not only brings the company identity online but is supported by custom software development to meet sector-specific business needs.

Technical Stack

WordPress was used for corporate content management, page structure and admin panel. A custom calculation engine and dynamic interface were built with PHP and JavaScript; responsive design ensures a consistent experience across devices.

Highlight: Metal Weight Calculator

The most substantial technical component is the custom metal weight calculator module. No off-the-shelf plugin met the requirement, so a dedicated calculation engine was built from scratch.

The module supports material type and dimension input, HEA / IPE / box profile / sheet / pipe selection, and multiple metal types (steel, aluminium, stainless steel). Estimated weight is calculated and shown in real time. The tool speeds up quotes and planning for the company’s customers and turns the site from a static brochure into an active business tool.

Conclusion

This project is an example of combining WordPress’s content management flexibility with sector-specific custom development. Where standard solutions fell short, an original engineering approach delivered a user-focused result.
